Here's my analysis. Hope you like it!

Here's my analysis. Hope you like it!

Ok, I feel a little voulnerable sharing this analysis with the world.  The fact is, like many swimmers, I have some real work to do!  After I swam with Kara, I figured it was time to see what the Village Experts had to say.   I'd love to hear what you think.

By the way, I blame the head postion on years of coaches telling us to keep our head up.  At least that is how I remember it!

A few tips on Watching the analysis.

1) Be sure to follow the prompts and install Silverlight.
2) Click here to see a short tutorial on using the Dartfish viewer.
3) Most of The Athlete Village customers do not send in underwater video.  Of course it looks pretty, but our experts would note 90% of what you are hearing with just the above water view.

Enjoy. (if you are not seeing the analysis below, you need the silverlight plugin)

Key Frame 8 - :19 sec Pull

I just re-watched the analysis and noticed something really cool.  At key frame 8 the coach notes the lack of finish to the pull.  Missing out on all of the power.  Once you go this frame go forward and backwards frame by frame...you can really see it.  The tell for this as seen from above water is the elbow leaving the water before the hand.

what about your gut?

Why didn't the coach say anything about your belly?  See key position 2.

Way more than I expected

I have to admit that I was skeptical when I first heard about what The Athlete Village was doing.  The analysis was so cool.  I can not believe how much information was in there. Watching your analysis has definitely inspired me to get mine done.  Thanks for sharing.  By the way, how can you swim with your head up like that?

way cool

the analysis is awesome.  thanks for putting yourself out there, it makes me want to get one and i'm not even a swimmer!

whats it all about

So many people ask me what this product is all about.  I figured the best way to show it is put my review up so everyone could see it.  I have been swimming for my entire life, and was shocked at what the coach was able to share.  I am working through the comments at masters practice one at a time.  My first focus is getting my head down, and I can already see a difference (holding 1:04 on hundreds instead of 1:07)
