Valentine's Day

in

Many folks describe Valentine's day as a pseudo, Hallmark card holiday. There are multiple reasons to be fed up with Valentine's day; getting nagged by your loved ones for not monetarily showing your love or not wearing a shirt without coffee stains (trust me, I know coaches) to a Valentine's day dinner. Others argue, love should not be focused on one day, but everyday. My opinion is the holiday should not be specific to romance for one another, but love for every item in your life. The day does not need to be a day of celebration, but a day of reflection.

Stroke Analysis

Stroke analysis is a meticulous process, non-swimmers would rather watch paint dry than swimming. I personally love analyzing swimming, whether it is a 8 year old belly flopping off a block or Soviet Russia's Alexander Popov youtube videos. The higher quantity of strokes you watch, the better you become at picking apart a stroke, but every coach has had a swimmer where they are stumped.

Smelly Pits

Stench, stink, smell, hobo meter, however you describe odor is individualized but hopefully you are not continually getting a fowl waft with each freestyle breath. Every team has a few people who seem to be physiologically attracted to their own pheromones, but why are they constantly torquing their neck as if Cindi Lauper was walking past them?
