The goals of our USA Swimming Foundation have never been more apparent or important. With a mission of supporting the U.S. National Team and a vision of teaching every child in America how to swim – we have our work cut out for us!
Since you heard from me last, just two short weeks ago, Team USA swimmers have been challenged and celebrated at the ConocoPhillips U. S. National Championships and many are now preparing for the Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships that begin on August 18.
At nearly the same time, communities across the country have been challenged by the tragic drowning deaths of five youths in Shreveport, Louisiana. The staff at USA Swimming has reached out to aquatic, civic and business leaders in Shreveport with our condolences and to offer volunteer services and programming in support of teaching water safety in their neighborhoods, but we need your help!
